::Recordings of Gal'Gizath::Entry #1
Hello listener. I'm, not sure if anyone will ever get their hands on this but, if you do, I'm most likely long departed. That is... Not to say that I'm truly 'alive' at this point anyway. Hm. My name was, Giza.. I used to be a Bio-mechanical engineer, before, the world turned to what it likely, still is.. And will forever be. By no fault of my own, might I add. I guess that's, far and wide from the point.. At the time of writing, Gadus Z-17 has been occupied for a little over a year. I still, retain some.. Puppet form of governance, but truly, I'm just as much a pawn as my people are now. Since the occupation began, I have been.. Searching. Looking for a means to end it, and perhaps spare a few lives along the way. That, started with the swift, unconditional surrender. I guess that's partially my fault too. We were trying so hard, to turn our efforts towards restoring the environment that, we didn't.. Prepare, for an extraterrestrial assault. An alien invasion but then, who could have predicted that?Entry #28
Entry twenty-eight.. It's been, decades now, that I've played the part of the Destroyer's left hand. The 'brain'. I despise my role so. I recall when I could use my mind to create wonderful things. Sustainable energy. That's all I wanted to create. Energy that didn't destroy the world around it. But since then I've been forced into creating these.. These 'scouts'. Code-name: Omen. A device specifically created to measure aetherial density on worlds beyond our own.. A bastardization of my own project to take my people somewhere safe, used to condemn worlds beyond to death. I have never wished so wholeheartedly that a creation of mine would be destroyed.. Or, find inhospitable cold. That seems to be an unacceptable parameter for the Destroyer. Hmph. Funny. The biggest, baddest being in the cosmos, afraid of snow? If my situation were any better, I'd find it truly comical.. If only we'd frozen our entire planet before his arrival, huh?Entry #238
Entry two hundred and thirty eight.. This will be my last entry, but, not because I plan on dying any time soon. Because for the first time in my life, I have faith.. This grand problem, no longer rests on my shoulders alone. My attempt to turn Zuneus to Vagrurok's side was thwarted, but, in the best way possible. Never have I seen mere mortals fight with such conviction and vigor. At this moment, I don't recall your names. But I know you'll hear this. You've managed to do something countless others have tried, and failed to accomplish. From what you know of Vagrurok, I assume you believe him untouchable. Vengeful, and angry. But, perhaps it will lift your spirits to hear this from me: Rurok is terrified. Behind it all, he has never seen so many defeats in unison. He's not lost so much at once since the death of his brother.. The time is upon us now, to strike back while he's off balance. Before he can appoint new lieutenants, and muster his full strength again. He's weakened. He's more vulnerable now than he's ever been, and it's because of you. I'll do my part, to turn the tides of war in our favor from my end. To destroy these machines that he's built for war, or turn them against his forces. Either way, I feel it. In what's left of my heart, this nightmare is coming to an end.. And it appears, you've just arrived. You'll get this message later. Good luck.
| . : : . | Iabrealas, The Empty Vale | . : : . |Description:A barren moon that orbits a beautiful planet that has become a gas giant, covered in what appears to be sulfur, methane and other toxic elements. The moon itself seems to be made inhabitable by unknown forces, and is home to the Extraterrestrial Aether and Astrological Research Observatory (EAARO), and a main facility to the North that can be accessed by bike or car.The EAARO itself is filled with computers that display charts of the stars in the universe observable from their position, and are capable of something called 'Electronic Mail'. Tao's face was briefly featured on one of these screens.Occupied by less than 500 women, the people of Iabrealas were selectively bred to become the best at their individual roles, and have been focused upon the location of a suitable place to inhabit and repopulate their people. Currently, they are attempting to do so by studying long-range interstellar travel, but struggle with finding a fuel source due to the fact that their only resources are those which they have brought from the planet, have mined, or are capable of recycling. Further, they suffer with population issues, due to the fact that approximately 90% of incomplete specimen are "discarded" prior to the beginning of their life, in addition to cloning. The Nebula Shards that Tao-Sin has visited Iabrealas to collect are rare crystals that have been associated with a few incidents that have taken place over the last few centuries, but their last location are unknown by those that Tao has spoken to already.People:
Iabrealas is inhabited by a race of less than 500 women with skin that ranges between dark blue and pale white, who wear loose, white clothing. They have antennae, instead of ears. There are no men, seemingly at all. Supposedly, there has not been a visitor to the moon for approximately 300 years. Tao-Sin is the first.— Noreen, Head of Neuroscience
- Pale blue skin, tied, black hair down to her hips, and black eyes.
- Has a tablet, and took a picture of Tao immediately and asked, "What are you?"
- Age 30
- Seems polite
- Spoke briefly with Tao about the potential of possibly having her help to explore the potential planetary candidates for their people's relocation and repopulation. A big ass project, but one that Tao seems interested in helping with.
- Asked if Tao knew of a suitable world that they could live on. Tao has an idea, but needs to confirm it with Arisu.— Tyne, Head of Biology and Medicine
- Pale white skin
- Immediately asked for blood samples, bone marrow samples, x-rays, and (jokingly, hopefully) minor surgery
- Has scheduled an appointment with Tao to take samples at the lab, after Tao told them they would be willing to offer them
- Will be the one taking Tao to the main facility in their car
- Created a smart vaccine that uses nanobots to act as advanced white blood cells and preemptively attack and prevent diseases before they ever occur— Vanna, Archiver
- Works in the main facility
- Possibly a geologist also(?)
| . : : . | Zithir — The Seat of the Stars | . : : . |General InformationZithir is a realm that has been targeted by Vagrurok several times, now. Seemingly a dry and hot desert for as far as the eye can see, the great majority of the known region appears largely inhospitable towards most life that isn't prepared to live in the desert. Previously liberated from its sulfuric state, after releasing the demon-god* Zag'dron from its stasis at the very center of the realm. Now lead by a Sultana, and a Ra'al—a cybernetically augmented femme-fatale—the realm is once more under assault by the Destroyer's forces, who (supposedly) aim to kill Zag'dron and steal his power for their own forces. The denizens of the realm that the Arcane Circle has encountered thus far include a race of hyur-like people with reptillian eyes, and a select few that appear out of place, namely the Ra'al herself. The locals, however, appear to get around on sand skiffs that use large, engine-powered fans to fill sails that carry them across the desert, and wield scrap rifles and weapons that appear to pack a considerable punch. They are also capable of radio conversation, and have airships under their employ that are of varying levels of technological advancement. The members of the Arcane Circle have been given writs of passage to the main capital of Zithir, to be granted audience with the Sultana, the Ra'al's wife.Bits & Blurbs:— (Rav Aluf) Ra'al - Term
- Refers to a General Officer. Currently only known to be Ra'al (Jacqueline) Heron.— Rasar - Term
- Refers to a Master Sergeant. Currently only known to be Rasar Katheer al-Salih of the Central Zithir Defense Force. Presumably, there are more.— Matrat - City
- Currently the base of operations for the Destroyer's forces, approximately four hundred miles from the camp in the desert.— Zaydidah, The Royal Capital - City
- The main city of Zithir, where the Sultana lives. Filled with life, unlike most of Zithir, though not quite a jungle. Approximately 80 miles away from the camp that was assembled in the desert. Currently experiencing minor economic and civil unreset, but faring somewhat well.— Adina - CityPeople & Characters:— Zag'dron, Keeper of Torment
- Originally eleased From The Star In The Core of Zethir, after Kalgon failed to kill him. Had been imprisoned for centuries.
- Supposedly has/had his own realm once upon a time.
- Six eyes, wings, four swords, four arms, giant.
- Tortured those who committed the worst crimes. Rape, murder, torture.— Sultana Seo-Yeong
- Wears thin silk robes, dressed in jewels and jewelry. Often red, purple and white, as seem to be the colours of the Capital.
- Bears two of the same marks as Tao on her hands, one for each palm.
- Seems to carry with her the font of life, connected to the Core of Zithir.
- Seems to carry with her the aether of distant stars.
- Has a number of attendants, and a personal royal guardstaff.
- Seems to have softened somewhat, over time, but holds a clear and personal vendetta against the Destroyer's forces.— Ra'al Jacqueline Heron
- Adorned in a white overcoat with armor affixed underneath.
- Her left arm, and left eye, both replaced by some form of cybernetics that looked well beyond the technology the rest of the equipment here displayed.
- Short, blonde hair again made her look like a foreigner amongst the locals.
- Known by Ra'al by the locals.
- Has the mark that Tao does upon her hand
- Has a cannon in her arm, and also a printer. Convenient.
- Has the tomestone that Tao had in her capture.
- Has an airship with a railgun and miniguns on it.
- Has an airship full of dangerous women.— Rasar Katheer al-Salih
- Master Sergeant of the Central Zithir Defense Force
- Orange eyes with a black slit down the center. Reptillian in nature, with a clear eyelid that protects from dust and debris.
- Air of authority
- Fancy six-shooter on his hip
| . : : . | Gadus Z-17 — Birthplace of the Omen | . : : . |General Information:Gadus Z-17 is a realm covered in a thick layer of smoke, smog, radiation, and the aura of a world that has long-since fallen from the heights of its civilization. Although its natural environment has been destroyed by corporate greed, the technological marvels that linger behind remain impressive, even despite the destruction that has been wrought upon the world. The general populous, known as the Gadains, were dedicated to the pursuit of technological advancement. However, this advancement led to the destruction of the environment, and the world that one can see today. In order to fix what had been done to their world, the Gadians elected an individual known as Gal'Gizath to be their leader—a nuclear engineer and biologist—because of his promise that he would find a solution to their dying world. In an effort to see through with his promise, Gal'Gizath created a device that the Circle knows as "The Omen," in order to serve as an instrument that would allow them to chart other worlds, and determine whether or not they were suitable for life. This project proceeded well, until a being known as "He From the Beyond" arrived on their world, and threatened its destruction unless Gal'Gizath served in his army, and provided him with resources to ensure the safety of his people. He agreed.Since then, resources from Gadus Z-17 have been pooled into the being's army, and enforcers—strange mixes of living being, and machine—ensure that his will is carried out on the planet, even when he is not visiting.Important Notes:— Lack of Aether
- Gadus Z-17 seems to have an incredibly adverse effect on individuals made of aether, such as arcane constructs like Arisu, and likely those such as Ning, a carbuncle. Although it is not entirely devoid of aether, it is strongly lacking in it, and appears to serve as a sort of void for those that require aether to survive. It could prove to be a strategically-sound battleground for the future, and in equal measure, a hazard to those that depend on aether.— Aetherial Invisibility
- Arcane constructs do not appear to show up on the machinery's sensors.— Toxic Environment
- Gadus Z-17 is not a kind place to visit. Its environment is incredibly harsh, and full of potential hazards, such as smoke, smog, fumes, and most importantly, radiation. It is not safe to visit the planet without some form of protection.— Dangerous Enforcers
- Vagrurok's forces on the planet take a different form than his traditional soldiers. They are twisted beings that have been melded with machinery, and given high-powered energy rifles that are likely capable of causing immediate death.Important People & Characters:— Gal'Gizath, The Puppet Leader
- A former biologist and nuclear engineer
- Creator of the device known as The Omen, used to find an inhabitable planet for his people to live on.
- Current leader of the Gadains, and servant to Vagrurok. Although a controversial figure, he has informed the people of Gadus Z-17 that when the war efforts are completed, the enforcement of their cooperation will cease and Vagrurok's forces will withdraw.
- Assumed to be a machine, like most/all of the people on Gadus Z-17.
- Has been swayed to turn against Vagrurok. Gadus is currently enveloped in revolution.— [Unit 33386 - Tythe, The Android
- An individual that has uploaded their consciousness into a mechanical shell, in order to survive the harsh environment of Gadus Z-17.
- Informed Taosin about the history of Gadus Z-17 and its current leader, Gal'Gizath.
- Seemed relatively polite, and had some form of sense of humour. Believes that they are still a person, despite having become a machine.
- Requested to be teleported off of Gadus Z-17, along with four of his companions. Taosin agreed and obliged, allowing each of them passage to Arisu's private realm.

Test Subject: "Jeff"
Unknown Species
Unknown Origin
Subject "Jeff" is not from any known world, but rather an extension of the outerverse project.
Located during a random probing into the edge of reality, this being has shown an extreme level of fortitude; enough to survive even the vacuum of space by entering a form of self-induced stasis. Current testing shows that it "Breathes" something other than oxygen, using a set of organs that most closely resemble the gills of fish. Its intimidating structure implies that it is predatory in nature, but recent brain scans imply a higher level of intelligence.
